All ability levels are accommodated with the diverse course conditions. By matching the slopes of the putting surfaces with the challenging green speeds, the play of the greens demand pace as well as direction for the successful putt. Southern Pines Golf Club (“SPGC”) is owned by the Elks Lodge and operated by Legacy Golf Management (“LGM”), a privately- owned golf course management company based out of Atlanta, Georgia. SPGC is an 18-hole facility located in Moore County, NC in the heart of Southern Pines and was designed by Donald Ross. SPGC is a resort golf club that permits play from members, guest of members, resort guest and the general public. As a resort course, our play and corresponding rates are seasonal. Generally peak season is from mid-March to mid-May and from mid-September to the end of October. Especially during peak season, a significant portion of play is from golfers on a golf package. Longleaf Golf & Family Club is a nationally-renowned club that boasts a championship Dan Maples-designed, Bill Bergin-remodeled golf course, Heartwood Grill & Greens restaurant, the U.S. Kids Golf Academy, Bottlebrush short course, as well as numerous other amenities. Home of the Longleaf Tee System, the data-based method to scale a golf course making it fair and fun for every level of player, the club has quickly developed a reputation for innovation and commitment to serve every all players, from professional to absolute beginner. Legacy is a Nicklaus Design golf course that is a must play when visiting the Pinehurst, Southern Pines and Aberdeen area of North Carolina. Although Legacy is just one of the few courses in the Sandhills area to play host to a USGA National Championship, the course remains playable for golfers of all skill levels. The course was renovated in 2012 and features Mini Verde greens and is beautifully routed around five lakes. The collection of par 3s maybe the best in the area while the 18th hole nicknamed “The Bear” was rated as the best finishing hole in the Pinehurst, Southern Pines and Aberdeen area.

The highly anticipated 2010 opening of Dormie Club was met by rave reviews, including a No. 3 ranking in Golfweek‘s list of best new courses.  The course was designed by Bill Coore and two-time Masters champion Ben Crenshaw. They form one of the most renowned golf course architecture teams in the world.  As a results, the 18-hole course features 110-foot elevation changes, three natural lakes, and an aesthetic that draws inspiration from the Scottish Highlands. Deercroft Golf Club is a Semi Private golf club located 18 miles south of historic village of Pinehurst. It is carved from magnificent pine forests, with a 70+ acre lake on property. Beacon Ridge Country Club has proudly served the greater Seven Lakes community for 30 years. Since it’s founding in 1895, Pinehurst has been synonymous with golf. Founded by James Walker Tufts, Pinehurst has grown into the undisputed Home of American Golf. Donald Ross, the famed golf course designer, laid out Pinehurst Courses 1, 2, and 3 between 1898 and 1910. Pinehurst No. 2 rising to the rank of Championship level play, hosting several U.S. Opens. These two legends vision for golf in the Sandhills area of North Carolina became a reality in short order and visitors flocked to Pinehurst. Pinehurst No. 4, recently redesigned by Gil Hanse in 2018, also boasts challenging play in a natural Sandhills setting.
